Innovation in the city never stops!
In Milan, Apcoa Parking Italia renews the management of Doria Car Park and Einaudi Car Park, with HUB Parking Technology integrated systems. Both parking areas are located in central districts of the city, brimming with a high traffic flow of commuters, business travellers and tourists. The Einaudi car park is located on the M2 underground line, opposite the iconic Bosco Verticale; the Doria is a 6-storey car park, a few steps from Loreto underground station, 300 meters from Milano Centrale train station and world-known Corso Buenos Aires. Open 24 hours a day, it has recently moved from a public operator management to a private operator, maintaining all its advantages for users: accessibility 7 days a week, the possibility to subscribe with automatic renewal via RID bank, and occasional or subscription access via Telepass.
Thanks to Telepass, the vehicle enters and exits without picking up a ticket and without passing through the ticket counters: just approach the barrier, wait for the opening and enter the car park in "stop & go" mode, at no extra cost. In the event that the system does not recognize the Telepass (non-regular device), the customer collects the ticket at the HUB column and at the end of the parking lot pays at the automatic checkout.
The presence of HUB hardware peripherals thus guarantees fast and efficient entry and exit in all eventualities, and all accesses are monitored 24/7 through integration with JMS management software, HUB's digital flagship. In addition to remotely updating the variable messaging panel and informing users of available spaces, JMS allows staff to control the entire parking system in an intuitive and advanced way, monitor the status of the lanes and intervene in case assistance is required. From single vehicle access to subscription and renewal management, daily operations are just a click away, from the single monitor control centre and also from the mobile app version of JMS.
Apcoa Parking Italia, Italian branch of the main European parking operator, has chosen HUB as its technological and digital partner because of the flexibility and simplicity of digital management of the system, and the assistance services offered by HUB branch in Cologno Monzese, close to Milan.
Franco Oliva, CEO of HUB Italia, expresses great satisfaction with the success of the installation. He states: "HUB Italia today reaches a significant milestone in Milan, consolidating its presence in northern Italy and strengthening its position in the metropolitan segment. We are proud to be a technology cooperator for a European level operator like APCOA, and to have inaugurated a fruitful collaboration on two projects so close to our Italian headquarters".
Thanks to the experience of installations in municipalities and metropolitan areas throughout Italy, HUB team is ready to meet the needs of APCOA and Milanese drivers through useful, simple, innovative services in step with the evolution of technology, which, just like in the digital world, never stops.
