At HUB headquarters in Bologna, the very first Jupiter training course comes to an end this week. Our expert engineers from France, South Africa and UK attended an intense training led by the International Assistance team; they have found gloomy weather outdoor, but a bright evolution indoor: a whole new world of parking innovations!
Just after the end of the course we went round the table to collect their impressions about the training, as well as the product range. Read on!
The company commitment to continuous learning and sharing expertise is made tangible by occasions like this course. Its format has combined interactive learning, service-specific skill reinforcement and practice tests, with on-the-job tools and digital docs. What have you liked most?
Luigi Zarlenga, the trainer who has led most of the sessions, bursts out before everyone else spontaneously “but everything is digital now!” - which pretty much sums up the passionate approach to the technical matters that were in the scope of the training.
Trainees follow on to the digital statement, with the French team responding first through Vincent: “Practice has been great, but you know: you never get enough! Also, it was good to find sessions further customized according to the maturity of different markets”.
James from HUB UK has no doubt the sessions were intense but to the point: “I appreciated that the degree of technicality was just right. Now we can always practice in the UK showroom,”
Darryl from HUB South Africa team joins in: “It’s always good to get different perspectives coming from more countries. I liked the practical approach and the exchange of expertise: the UK team was fantastic, sharing some very specific recommendations proven in the field. And in exchange, we brought some more experience with validation, through the fee computer.”
Workplace safety is paramount in parking installations. Jupiter cabinets have been designed to achieve the utmost ease of serviceability for technicians, and the components arranged so that the unit internal space is fully optimized. Just one of the main features of the product: which one do you think will add more value to the customers you serve?
All the trainees agree on the size, enhanced graphic features and easy interaction with the stations’ monitor: for Jérome “The device design is very clear, straightforward and essential, which is just fine when you are in front of the pay station, looking forward to pay and go! And the ergonomics, too: it’s easy to locate everything inside, even though for delicate components, you always need special attention.”
Joel adds his perspective from the southern hemisphere: “The robustness of Jupiter. However, my favorite feature is definitely the ticketless options, as it’s coming up more and more often in South Africa. I liked the modularity, so we can ensure we have kits and components always ready for maintenance. And the scalability in upgrades makes Jupiter a safe bet”.
Being close to our customers in all respects is our priority. You are the faces of our first-class service and reliable local assistance. How do you feel about starting off with Jupiter installations, compared to the past?
UK team showed up the first day with fully branded service clothing, thus truly embodying the concept of “one face to the customer”. Even though their intervention might not give much time to ponder on the looks, because Jupiter is “just so quick to install, and easy to bolt down” as Steve points out.
Joel & Darryl look forward to their next installation too, that is planned for South Africa winter, early summer in Europe. Definitely a promising quarter ahead!
You all come from beautiful places: France, UK, South Africa. Tell us of a dream location in your country where you’d love to travel and install Jupiter?
Once again, the French team responds first: “Mais la Corse, of course! Puns aside [Corse is Corsica island, in the Mediterranean sea] any islands and DOM/TOM in general are beautiful. In those cases, if the installation takes one day longer, you are not disappointed”
UK team agrees on the preference for island locations, adding on the iconic island of Jersey (where HUB equipment is already installed) and looks rather interested in the suggestion of Joel from South Africa team: “The surfing site of Jeffreys bay: our parking equipment is just ideal for surfing vans. And any of the former competitor sites in the country would be perfectly fine…!”
Parking installations by the sea seem to be the favorite – thanks to stainless steel cabinets and their IP protection, Jupiter stations are suitable for any environment, seaside included.
Jupiter peripherals come in dark grey, RAL 7021, matte finish - however their degree of customization is high, to suit the customers’ own branding requirements. Out of the rainbow palette, which color would you be happier to install?
Adrien has no doubts: “Definitely my football team colors! Monaco, red and white”.
Bill nods and opens up on his passion for Italian design, which does expand further than Jupiter: “Stations would look terrific in Alfa Romeo 930 Red, or even a bold stainless steel, anodized look. By the way, shopping malls and hotels often require customized branding, hence it will be fun to see how far we can go to accommodate their needs!”
For sure it was a fruitful week for our teams, who had the chance to get to know Jupiter closely, and benefit from the exchange of expertise, high-tech suggestions, and updates from the respective markets. Sharing hands-on practice creates strong bonds, and we wish our trainees to keep up the good work!
