FAAC France is committed to biodiversity: four beehives in the company's colors. Since 23 September 2021, our local team, composed of FAAC and HUB colleagues, has taken a new step forward in our commitment to reducing our ecological footprint and promoting biodiversity.
2023 was the year we chose to put into practice one of our employees' commitments: protecting the environment. In 2025, we are now into our third year of ongoing commitment!
Some of our employees were already sponsoring beehives on a personal basis, so it was only natural to extend this wonderful initiative to the entire company.
Four apiaries, located near our main branches, were chosen:
- 1 hive at Mathieu's, at Le Rucher du Roussillon: his apiary is located in the rolling hills of Roussillon, a sparsely cultivated area consisting mainly of meadows and woods. He harvests spring honey, chestnut honey, acacia honey and lime blossom honey.
- 1 hive at David's, at Le Rucher de la Pierre: the apiary is located on wild wasteland with a vegetable garden and fruit trees. David harvests honey from the Chartreuse Mountains, a mixed forest honey from the mid-mountains.
- 1 hive at Alexandre's, at Ma Petite Abeille de Bordeaux: Alexandre's bees live in a little corner of paradise in Sallebœuf, Gironde, around twenty kilometres from Bordeaux. Here, the gentle terrain and rolling hills of the Entre-deux-Mers region provide a calm environment conducive to foraging. The honey harvested has a subtle flavor, reflecting the beautiful local biodiversity.
- 1 hive at Renald's, at Le Rucher de la Table du Roi: Located in the Fontainebleau area, it has 4 beautiful locations where its 50 hives will be distributed. The bees can thus forage on lime trees, chestnut trees, acacias and heather.
These initiatives are part of a broader sustainable development approach that we are committed to daily. One of these four hives bears the colors of our FAAC Approved network. This commitment illustrates FAAC France's desire to combine performance and responsibility by making a concrete contribution to the preservation of our environment.
