At HUB headquarters in Bologna, the second edition of Jupiter tech training came to an end last Friday. Senior engineers from the four corners of HUB world - Bulgaria, Ireland, Malaysia, Middle East, Poland, Portugal, and UK - attended a full-on tech training spanning from hardware to software management, integrations, onsite and remote troubleshooting, and much more.
We went round the table to collect their impressions about the training and the product range. Read on!
Occasions like this training are driven by the company commitment to continuous learning. During the week, you had the chance to experience different learning tools and activities from interactive learning, to service-specific skill reinforcement and practice tests, with on-the-job tools and digital docs. What have you found more effective and what did you enjoy the most?
The hands-on approach was appreciated by the trainees, in particular the “personalized work desk” provided to each pupil and the opportunity to discover step-by-step the configuration process.
The possibility to configure the car park is mentioned as a main perk of the training, because “setting-up peripherals is the only way to learn how to face and solve real problems. And feel more confident about the technical process”.
The greatest satisfaction? “It is when the system finally works!”
Thanks to its modular design, Jupiter is ready to accommodate any number of future developments combined with the flexibility of JMS management software. But it’s only one of its features: which one do you think will add more value to the customers you serve?
Sleek, modern design and a glossy finishing give Jupiter full stainless steel cabinets a “premium feel”, very appreciated by our team-mates from Poland and Middle East. Flexibility and a structure that allows easy service is a plus. As well as the 15.6 inches, impact- and scratch-resistant monitor on the APS.
Once back to your country you will pass down the information gathered during the training to other colleagues, and you’ll be able to perform perfect installations. How do you feel about starting off with Jupiter installations and training your colleagues?
The colleagues in Glasgow can’t wait to be updated on Jupiter: “We plan to replace an old Park Plus Parkomatic on a live site that is still working. It is quite a challenge, but - thanks to this training - I’m ready to take it!”.
Our trainees are eager to teach their coworkers and to take a step forward in meeting customers’ requirements through to state-of-the-art installations.
You all come from beautiful places: tell us of a dream location in your country where you’d love to travel and install Jupiter?
From Burgas, a lively seaside town in Bulgaria, to Zakopane, a mountain town in the south of Poland, at the foot of the Tatra Mountains, our trainees suggested many beautiful locations!
The Glasgow installation is a dream coming true: a Museum in an old BBC building, in front of the place the old Docks used to sit. And it’s not the only cultural place mentioned: Dariusz chose the Palace of Cultural Science in the heart of Warsaw, in Poland.
For shopping lovers the Middle East team dreams to install Jupiter in the area of the Burj Khalifa, one of the tallest skyscrapers in the world, where large retail centers are. A dream installation that would also require a high level of customization.
Last one about Bologna: some of you have visited the city many times now, for some of you it was the very first time. What are your impressions? How about the city vibe?
Overall the trainees found Bologna a very pleasant city, where it’s nice to take a walk and discover Medieval architecture.
It was the first time in Europe and - therefore in Bologna - for Kennedy, from Middle East: “Everything here is so old and very well maintained!”
We hope our trainees had the chance to know Jupiter closely, exchange expertise, suggestions, and updates during last week, and we wish them to keep up the great work.
