When we took part in the 29th edition of “Puliamo il Mondo” environmental initiative last year, and cleaned up a nearby park picking up 40+ kg litter, we promised it would become a tradition for FAAC Technologies: so here we are!
This year, we took to the business park around the FAAC factory and offices, with the support of the city government (Comune di Zola Predosa) and, more relevant than ever: engaging with not only colleagues, but also partners, friends, and family members. In fact, this is a step ahead for the affiliation group SimplyNOWaste, that has been proposing environmental-friendly initiatives both in and out of the company, to embrace more sustainable ways of living and make a difference in the world.
Here is what happened: last weekend, we renamed the initiative “Ri-puliamo il mondo” and counting on over 70 volunteers, we cleaned up the most neglected sidewalks, streets, and curbs of five large blocks in the industrial area close to our working location.
“Ri-puliamo il mondo” volunteering honors the values of care for the community, and respect of the environment that we want to act upon, and pass onto future generations, especially in challenging times like these.
