HUB Parking Technology UK offered local customers a very special visit to the Tower of London: a private Yeoman tour of this monument, that is known to tourists worldwide as one of the most iconic buildings in Great Britain.
Who would have expected the parking business to open up to such historical occasions? Together with the sales and marketing team, customers discovered that the Tower of London used to house the Royal Menagerie, the first zoo anywhere in Britain. In order to populate the zoo and improve relationships among European royals, British kings used to exchange gifts from other dynasties. Among this special offerings were lions, tigers and a polar bear! Olaf, King of Norway, sent the latter in 1252 and it has since remained among the fun facts about the Tower of London.
