In 2019, Fast Park initiated a pivotal partnership with HUB Parking Technology, introducing the Jupiter solution in Romania. This collaboration not only marked the first deployment of Jupiter in Romania but also one of the earliest global implementations. Herisanu shares, " We had to somehow raise Jupiter as a child, but with a strong heritage from the ZEAG, and now it's grown up, it is mature."
Continuous training amidst challenges
Training remains a cornerstone of Fast Park's operational strategy. The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a shift to online training, but the company has since returned to conducting annual in-person sessions at their headquarters. Herisanu emphasizes the importance of this practice, stating, " We are sending our teams yearly to headquarters for physical training,” ensuring their staff are proficient in handling the latest technologies and systems.

Initially focused on the private sector, Fast Park pivoted to public sector projects during the pandemic. Romexpo, Romania’s largest fair and exhibition center, stands as a testament to Fast Park’s capabilities. The project involved integrating 39 peripherals to manage massive crowds, particularly during events like Indagra, Romanian traditional event for the agriculture industry, which attracts over 40.00 attendees every year.
The JMS system played a crucial role in integrating parking with ticketing systems, allowing users to pay for parking and event tickets seamlessly. The introduction of a mobile app further streamlined the payment process. Herisanu explains: “We also implemented our mobile app to help the users pay the car park without going to the APS. Basically, they scan the QR code from the ticket and pay through the credit card payment system."
Another challenge was to integrate card payment directly to the turnstile and mobile app payment for the car park. "So, with this kind of solution, the customer would offer the clients a fast way to enter and exit and also the payment process for their events."
Edenland
Similarly, at Edenland, Romania’s largest adventure park, Fast Park tackled the challenge of efficiently managing weekend crowds. The company introduced a mobile app to expedite payment processes and upgraded their systems to support cashless transactions without disruptions. When faced with an issue involving a banknote recycler, our service team was able to extract it from the automatic pay station without shutting down the system, thanks to a backup payment system for credit cards. As a result, “the customer didn't notice that it had a problem with the system. Very easy, very fast.”
Cluj-Napoca municipality
Fast Park’s collaboration with Cluj-Napoca Municipality exemplifies the ideal application of advanced parking solutions. The municipality has been a pioneer in adopting premium parking systems and continues to operate ZEAG solutions effectively. “They are the most experienced car park operators in Romania, and they understand from early stages the importance of having payment parking systems in the city, and they saw the advantages of having a premium hardware.” Herisanu notes.
